This area of London is central, safe, and packed full of cafes, bars, famous nightclubs, music venues and the world famous Camden Market along with beautiful parks and Primrose Hill. I live in the heart of Camden Town, in a late Georgian terrace of houses within a Conservation area, right in the centre of London. My flat is richly decorated which reflects the work that I do as a Textile Artist. My walls are covered with my choice of vintage finds, antiques and objets d'art.
It's a real bargain!! It's on the ground floor of my beautiful old Victorian house with patio doors in the room which lead to your own private little space outside with a table and chairs. The double bed is extremely comfortable and has good quality bedding and a wonderful mattress topper.
There's lots of storage space and clothes hanging space.
Lots of towels, shampoo, conditioner, bubble bath for a lovely long hot soak, a hair dryer and European plug sockets and lots of magazines. You will also have a key to lock your door for privacy and peace of mind.
The room has a lovely calm and relaxing feel and is warm in Winter and nice and cool in the Summer. It's like a little boutique hotel room.
There's also a lovely cafe called 'Feast' down the road which does fantastic cooked breakfasts if you like. I've written that in capitals so you can't miss it. There is a flat screen TV and sky box in your room and also Wi-Fi. All the windows are double glazed so there's no draft.
Two of them are at university. They are thoughtful, helpful and polite and you'll hardly see them. We are a friendly, relaxed, busy, informal household and I work from home as a textile artist so I'm on hand a lot of the time and will try and make your stay as good as possible.
If you're here for a few days then I'm happy to do clothes washing for you. There is a lovely friendly little cafe called ChrisKitch which serves amazing home cooked food four doors away!
There is also an Everyman Cinema down the road and the famous 'Phoenix Cinema' nearby which is one of the oldest cinemas in the UK. East Finchley underground station on the Northern Line is a 15 minute walk away or 5 mins on the bus and from there you can be in central London within 20 minutes.
Highgate station is also close by and we are well served with buses. The 43 and buses run all night. Smoking is permitted in the garden. Room size approx 11 by 10 feet. Journey time is 30 minutes and the service is non-stop to Victoria station. Then get the underground to East Finchley. By train from Luton Airport. The bus normally runs every 10 minutes.
